I\u2019ve had plenty of fun watching Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette<\/em><\/a> lately, but since that show\u2019s started to get depressing\u2014and Hacks<\/em> isn\u2019t back on HBO Max<\/a> for a few weeks\u2014I\u2019m currently revisiting my aughts roots and getting way, way, way too excited about the return of The Comeback<\/em><\/a>, Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King\u2019s sly and brilliant series about a washed-up sitcom actress (Kudrow) attempting to recapture her \u201990s magic.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s possible that no show can ever really skewer Hollywood as completely as it deserves (truly, everyone here is insane), but The Comeback<\/em> comes the closest of any I can think of\u2014and now, thank God, we have a third (and final?) season. Below, find every thought I had about Season 3, Episode 1 of The Comeback:<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. God, I missed seeing Valerie Cherish\u2019s deranged grin on my TV screen.<\/li>\n
  2. She\u2019s going to be in Chicago<\/em> on Broadway!<\/li>\n
  3. Just like Whitney Leavitt!<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Hey, it\u2019s Jane \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n
  5. Of course Jane doesn\u2019t do social media! She canonically has an Oscar for her documentary about lesbians in the Holocaust!<\/li>\n
  6. I\u2019m pretty sure Valerie isn\u2019t supposed to be hairspo, but I do envy the fullness of her bangs<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  7. Absolute taste to have Valerie running the best song in Chicago<\/em> (which happens to be \u201cWe Both Reached For The Gun\u201d).<\/li>\n
  8. Cutting before the Christine Baranski \u201cUnderstandable\u201d solo<\/a>? Unforgivable.<\/li>\n
  9. I\u2019m so glad I\u2019m not a professional dancer because this shit sounds hard.<\/li>\n
  10. This random blond girl is making me miss Juna Milken.<\/li>\n
  11. Hearing Valerie yell \u201cJane? Jane?\u201d is scratching a specific itch in my brain.<\/li>\n
