Well, divas, we\u2019ve reached the end of Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette<\/em><\/a>. While I am deeply ready for every woman in the West Village to stop wearing CBK-lite white oxford shirts with pencil skirts (a little originality, please, girlinas!), I am sad to see the end of this strangely addictive, if occasionally maddening, show. Where am I supposed to get my fix of \u201990s New York nostalgia now? From Seinfeld<\/em>? I\u2019ve already seen every episode so many times that I use them as a kind of televisual Ambien to get to sleep!<\/p>\n

Anyway, without further ado, here\u2019s literally every thought I had about the season finale of Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Headband spotted!<\/li>\n
  2. Is that\u2026Talia Balsam?<\/li>\n
  3. Truly an underrated Mad Men<\/em> character (and John Slattery\u2019s real-life wife!).<\/li>\n
  4. Being invited into John and Carolyn\u2019s couples therapy session, however fictional it may be, feels\u2026icky.<\/li>\n
  5. \u201cI cannot be the third person in my marriage\u201d\u2026Diana<\/a> boots!<\/li>\n
  6. It seems Mom and Dad are not into trial-separating, but the bad vibes from the last episode<\/a> continue, so\u2026something\u2019s gotta give!<\/li>\n
  7. I feel like couples therapists are supposed to back down if both members of said couple don\u2019t like a suggestion, aren\u2019t they?<\/li>\n
  8. Ah, to be smoking a cigarette with Paul Anthony Kelly in a dimly lit dive bar.<\/li>\n
  9. How much residual money is Radiohead making<\/em> from this show?<\/li>\n
  10. When a Kennedy drops by to \u201cget that linen blazer,\u201d you know it\u2019s on<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  11. This feels like the most legit sex scene we\u2019ve gotten all season. I guess it\u2019s important to go out with a bang\u2026 (literally)?<\/li>\n
  12. Hot elevator-kiss flashback!<\/li>\n
  13. Wait, yeah\u2026who\u2019s had Friday this whole time? Carolyn? John? Some secret third party?<\/li>\n
  14. Oy vey iz mir, Rory\u2019s wedding<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  15. I like Caroline\u2019s sunglasses.<\/li>\n
  16. \u201cYou aren\u2019t Dad\u201d\u2026brutal, but true.<\/li>\n
  17. Aw, it\u2019s nice to see Caroline actually supporting this marriage, close-to-over though it may be.<\/li>\n
  18. Hearing the Bessette sisters plan the flight that eventually killed them is\u2026a lot.<\/li>\n
  19. Who uses the word \u201cjettison\u201d in casual conversation with their sister?<\/li>\n
  20. Or \u201cby your own volition,\u201d for that matter?<\/li>\n
  21. Aw, Carolyn\u2019s at the George<\/em> gala!<\/li>\n
  22. Dido needle-drop?!?!!?!?!!?<\/li>\n
  23. Does Gen Z even know about Dido?<\/li>\n
  24. I guess they will now!<\/li>\n
  25. Speaking of Gen Z and this show\u2026we\u2019re so back<\/a> at Panna II!<\/li>\n
  26. So The Rules<\/em> rules<\/a> really go out the window once you fall in love, huh?<\/li>\n
  27. If even CBK stopped playing it coy when she actually fell for a man, what hope did I ever have?<\/li>\n
  28. Sorry to keep being annoying about dialogue, but\u2026\u201cbuild a life for ourselves as partners\u201d?<\/li>\n
  29. Is this a marriage or a legal merger?<\/li>\n
  30. I guess a marriage is<\/em> a bit of a legal merger, but I digress.<\/li>\n
  31. John\u2019s backwards baseball cap is so lesbian (complimentary).<\/li>\n
  32. Or is it more frat-boy-pushing-40?<\/li>\n
  33. Either way, I\u2019m upset at how much I don\u2019t hate it.<\/li>\n
  34. Wait, Caroline wasn\u2019t even going to the wedding John and Carolyn were en route to during the plane crash?!?<\/li>\n
  35. Ugh.<\/li>\n
  36. Ugh<\/em> again\u2014we\u2019re picking up from the scene in the pilot of Carolyn getting her nails done and John being pissed off in the car \ud83d\ude41<\/li>\n
  37. Oh, come the fuck on, we\u2019re going inside<\/em> the plane during what are (presumably) the moments before the end?<\/li>\n
  38. Did we strictly need to see this?<\/li>\n
  39. Oh, poor Caroline.<\/li>\n
  40. Poor Ann-Marie Messina, for that matter!<\/li>\n
  41. She told John never to take more than one of her daughters<\/a> on a plane!<\/li>\n
  42. Okay, now we\u2019re hitting stuff I actually remember (news reports about John, Carolyn, and Lauren going missing).<\/li>\n
  43. Not that this is about me in any way, but this did<\/em> all go down on my real-life sixth birthday.<\/li>\n
  44. Emmy for Grace Gummer!<\/li>\n
  45. Oh, Ann-Marie is pissed<\/em> (rightfully).<\/li>\n
  46. If ever I suffer an untimely death, I\u2019m going to need someone to go over to my apartment and hide any personal notes or anything else I might not want my mother to see.<\/li>\n
  47. LOL, Ann-Marie really called Ed dumb as hell (basically).<\/li>\n
  48. You know what, Emmy for Constance Zimmer, too!<\/li>\n
  49. Let\u2019s throw those little gold statuettes out like confetti!<\/li>\n
  50. \u201cWe are Kennedy women and we\u2019re still here. And that can\u2019t be for nothing.\u201d Go off, Ethel!<\/li>\n
  51. Aw, this last shot of John and Carolyn at the beach is sad and lovely.<\/li>\n
  52. John\u2019s kind of got a Don-Draper-in-the-last-scene-of-Mad Men<\/em> glow to him.<\/li>\n
  53. Well, that\u2019s a wrap!<\/li>\n
