I used to be automatically suspicious of age-gap relationships<\/a>, but now that I\u2019m single again, I\u2019ve chilled out on the judgment (for the most part) and embraced the low-key romance of the song \u201cRock Me\u201d by Liz Phair, about the simple joys of dating a younger man as an older, more accomplished woman: \u201cI wanna play X-Box on your floor \/ Say hi to your roommate who\u2019s next door \/ You don\u2019t have a dime \/But I don\u2019t mind, who gives a damn?\u201d (I mean, I<\/em> don\u2019t want to play X-Box on anybody\u2019s floor, but I digress.)<\/p>\n

Enter: Age of Attraction<\/em>, Netflix\u2019s buzzy new reality series about age-gap couples<\/a> living, laughing, loving, and having to explain memes to each other. Below, find (quite literally) every thought I had about the show\u2019s first episode, titled \u201cIs Age Just a Number?\u201d:<\/p>\n

  1. This little plane flying over the mountains is stressing me out, given that I just watched the Love Story<\/em> finale.<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Tea, Theresa. Sometimes men that are your age\u2026are worse!<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. I hope Pfeifer\u2019s experience dating older men is good, but I kind of want her to be with someone who disregards her for being too young. Those are the good ones, I fear!<\/li>\n
  4. Sort of a Catch-22 therein, I admit.<\/li>\n
  5. \u201cWhen are you retiring?\u201d to a 40-year-old? Jail.<\/li>\n
  6. Jorge is absolutely right that the dating world is trash.<\/a><\/li>\n
  7. Should I go on this show?<\/li>\n
  8. Oh no, at least one of these girls reminds me of my little cousin and now I want to protect her from ever having her heart broken (or even dented).<\/li>\n
  9. Okay, the cousin-reminder\u2019s name is Libby.<\/li>\n
  10. Nobody hurt Libby!!!<\/li>\n
  11. Ooh, the hosts are 18 years apart?<\/li>\n
  12. And they met in the DMs?<\/li>\n
  13. Somebody drop the skincare routine, because they both look 24\u2014which, mathematically, they can\u2019t both<\/em> be.<\/li>\n
  14. The only question you can\u2019t ask: \u201cHow old are you?\u201d Fair enough!<\/li>\n
  15. Oh, so everybody\u2019s dating everyone else here?<\/li>\n
  16. And they\u2019re all straight, got it.<\/li>\n
  17. Or, at least, straight for the purposes of this show.<\/li>\n
  18. A shame, because I famously love age-gap lesbians.<\/a><\/li>\n
  19. You know what? Yes, girl, ask how much money he makes! No broke boys, no new friends!<\/li>\n
  20. \u201cI\u2019m not looking to attract men within my age range because they\u2019re usually super-immature,\u201d sayeth Libby.<\/li>\n
  21. I mean, maybe she and I could do a little cultural exchange where she dates the 32-year-old wastemen my age and I date her<\/em> mid-20s peers?<\/li>\n
  22. We love a Swiftie with boundaries.<\/li>\n
  23. \u201cI could date you or your mom, and I\u2019m open to both.\u201d I mean, I agree, but I\u2019m scared of Tristan.<\/li>\n
  24. LOL at his MILF root being \u201cthe first time I saw Kim Zolciak in a church parking lot.\u201d<\/li>\n
  25. This blonde woman in a red top looks like a Chloe Fineman<\/a> character.<\/li>\n
  26. This girl is correct in calling most older men \u201cpredatory.\u201d<\/li>\n
  27. Again, the good ones want women their own age!<\/li>\n
  28. \u201cI\u2019m John, I\u2019m a hugger.\u201d Ugh.<\/li>\n
  29. Not John saying Katharine \u201clooks like a Bond villain.\u201d Oh, what, like you\u2019re so great, John?!?<\/li>\n
  30. The female host is low-key gorgeous!<\/li>\n
  31. Are there age minimums and maximums on this show?<\/li>\n
  32. And if so, is the age minimum\u202618? I feel like it should maybe be a ladylike 24 or so.<\/li>\n
  33. These are things I could look up, but I prefer to wonder.<\/li>\n
  34. I really do not find men who have cats to be hot.<\/li>\n
  35. But that\u2019s my<\/em> baggage!<\/li>\n
  36. Ooh, this gravelly voiced guy Justin is kind of hot, and Vanelle seems to agree.<\/li>\n
  37. I like it when men have baby fever \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n
  38. Although this guy is kind of taking it in a depressing direction.<\/li>\n
  39. \u201cShe is typically who I date: blonde, good-looking, fun.\u201d Well, aren\u2019t you<\/em> a unique tastemaker!<\/li>\n
  40. Gentlemen really do prefer blondes, huh?<\/li>\n
  41. I simply do not like this two-kids douchebag whose name I forget.<\/li>\n
  42. To be clear, having two (or more, or fewer) kids is fine, it\u2019s his \u2019tude I dislike.<\/li>\n
  43. I want better for Libby, the boundaried Swiftie!<\/li>\n
  44. The way that I do not want \u201ca dominant leader\u201d (when it comes to men, anyway).<\/li>\n
  45. \u201cI\u2019m surprised you\u2019re single\u201d is such a nice thing to hear.<\/li>\n
  46. I\u2019m bored.<\/li>\n

  48. I feel like Holden in The Catcher in the Rye<\/em>. I just want to catch these women!!!!!!!<\/li>\n
