<\/picture><\/span><\/div>\nLisa Love, Laura Love, Clare Hornby<\/span>Photo: Matt Weinberger<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cShe is mother to all,\u201d\u00a0said an elated\u00a0Laura\u00a0Love\u00a0whilst describing her mom\u2014Lisa Love; Vogue\u2019s<\/em> longtime West Coast-based force\u2014over dinner\u00a0on Monday\u00a0night.\u00a0The mother-and-daughter duo were on hand to host an evening in honor of the British clothing brand ME+EM, which fittingly took place at SoHo\u2019s new pub and eatery, Dean\u2019s.<\/p>\n Among those who came out to toast to the London label\u2019s Spring edit were\u00a0Chloe Malle, Derek Blasberg, Devyn Garcia, and Pamela Hansen. Guests\u00a0trickled through the charming\u00a0public house, the latest venture from the team behind King and Jupiter, passing wooden banquets and\u00a0displays of\u00a0vintage ads\u00a0lining the walls,\u00a0halting only when they met their assigned\u00a0seats and were greeted with fresh oysters and Guinness\u00a0bread with Marmite.<\/p>\n Over\u00a0a candlelight feast of martinis and fish\u00a0and chips doused in malt vinegar, ME+EM founder Clare Hornby\u00a0addressed the\u00a0room\u00a0to\u00a0warmly\u00a0thank\u00a0both Lisa and Laura for bringing together an \u201cincredibly stylish\u201d group.\u00a0Style between generations\u2014and from East coast to West coast\u2014was the through-line of the evening, with Hornby\u2019s\u00a0daughters Grace and Maddy even making their way from across the pond to join.<\/p>\n For the celebration, Lisa stepped out in a sleek black leather jacket, paired with her signature square-framed sunglasses. When asked about ME+EM\u2019s upcoming Mother\u2019s Day social media photoshoot featuring the pair, Lisa laughed and gave full credit to Laura. \u201cShe corrals me into doing these things and I tell her,\u00a0\u2018I\u2019m\u00a0not a model\u2014I am your mother.\u2019 Then she told me\u00a0this\u00a0was a mother and daughter thing.\u201d As for Laura, she\u00a0hadn\u2019t\u00a0always\u00a0envisioned\u00a0fashion as her chosen career path.\u00a0But after\u00a0she endured a consequential injury, the\u00a0former\u00a0ballerina\u00a0naturally\u00a0found herself more curious about her mom\u2019s world.\u00a0\u201cI think what I got from her was my individuality.\u00a0She\u2019s\u00a0steadfast in how she dresses, and she\u00a0has her signature style,\u201d\u00a0Laura praised.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
