Euphoria<\/em> is so back<\/a>, and while it\u2019s no, say, Love Story<\/em><\/a> (a show that was hardly perfect, but at least immersed me in the visual culture of \u201990s New York, versus a particularly bleak vision of an unnamed city that is clearly present-day Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbs), it\u2019s sort of nice to be catching up with Rue, Maddy, Cassie, Nate, and all the other troubled weirdos who populate this series every week. Let\u2019s dive in to Season 3\u2019s second episode, shall we?<\/p>\n

Below, find quite literally every thought I had about Season 3, Episode 2 of Euphoria<\/em>:<\/p>\n

  1. We love to see Maddy in bell-bottoms.<\/li>\n
  2. That may or may not be Versace?<\/li>\n
  3. \u201cI\u2019m not a victim, I won\u2019t be an HR nightmare, and I believe in capitalism.\u201d Does saying those three things out loud conjure the ghost of Bari Weiss?<\/li>\n
  4. I\u2019m sorry\u2026are we doing COVID and the 2020 protests on this show? Now?<\/li>\n
  5. I\u2019m usually really good at identifying LA beaches used in TV and film merely by sight, but I truly have no idea where they are.<\/li>\n

  7. God, remember hype houses?<\/li>\n
  8. And the foot-pic economy?<\/li>\n
  9. Is that the Friends<\/em> couch?<\/li>\n
  10. What can I say, I have a lot of questions.<\/li>\n
  11. Is Maddy going to manage Cassie?<\/li>\n
  12. I mean, somebody needs to.<\/li>\n
  13. Kind of love farm Rue, I have to say.<\/li>\n
  14. Well, that was a brutal shot of Tish\u2019s hair in a drain.<\/li>\n
  15. From Laurie to Alamo\u2026I mean, I guess that\u2019s a lateral move, but I see why Alamo\u2019s vibe (and stripper access) would appeal more to Rue.<\/li>\n
  16. Hmm, is a bit of a gender journey being foreshadowed for Rue?<\/li>\n
  17. \u201cMr. Rolex wants to party.\u201d Don\u2019t they always?<\/li>\n
  18. Okay, kind of love Angel for Rue!<\/li>\n
  19. You can miss Jules and<\/em> hook up with hot girls, babe.<\/li>\n
  20. Hey, it\u2019s Jules herself!<\/li>\n
  21. God, Zendaya really has the range, acting-wise.<\/li>\n
  22. This scene on the phone leaving a voicemail for her mom is heartbreaking!<\/li>\n
  23. Why does Rue as a strip-club house mother make so much sense?<\/li>\n
  24. ROSAL\u00cdA!<\/li>\n
  25. In a gem-encrusted neck brace!<\/li>\n
  26. Yay! I understood a whole Spanish sentence!<\/li>\n
  27. Maybe due to context clues, but still, thank you, Duolingo (and three years of living in LA).<\/li>\n
  28. Rue and Maddy as unlikely besties has always made me so happy.<\/li>\n
  29. \u201cI\u2019m not a fucking hooker.\u201d Another Emmy-worthy line delivery from Alexa Demie!<\/li>\n
  30. Saying \u201cI have a meeting\u201d while dressed in full lingerie is so amazing.<\/li>\n
  31. Speaking of (ex-)besties\u2026are Cassie and Maddy getting up to their old tricks?<\/li>\n
  32. \u201cI miss high school,\u201d said no one ever.<\/li>\n
  33. Glad that Sam Levinson is treating Sydney Sweeney\u2019s much-discussed bust<\/a> with all the, um, respect it deserves.<\/li>\n
