We\u2019re now only a few days away from the 2026 Met Gala<\/a>, meaning Voguers from far and wide are flying in to New York City\u2014including none other than our very own Chioma Nnadi. Reunited at last, Chioma, Chloe, and Nicole gathered in the studio (on the same day, in fact, as another British royal\u2019s visit to the World Trade Center) and caught up.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, Vogue<\/em> hosted its second Book Club gathering<\/a>: a screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em>, which comes to theaters on May 1. After the film wrapped, Chloe invited Vogue<\/em> alumni Kate Young and Billy Norwich to join her on stage for a live podcast taping.<\/p>\n Kate, who started as Anna\u2019s assistant in the late \u201990s, and Billy, who was then a writer and editor at Vogue<\/em>, shared memories and spoke about their reactions to the book and movie when they first came out. Billy actually accompanied Anna to the 2006 premiere at the Paris Theater and told Chloe that Anna wanted to wear Prada because \u201cthat was her humor.\u201d He also spoke about the test he created with the late Charles Gandee, which went viral last year when the New York Times<\/em> published an interactive, multiple-choice version titled \u201cCould You Have Landed a Job at Vogue<\/em> in the \u201990s<\/a>?\u201d<\/p>\n Not all of the reminiscing was so rose-colored, however. Kate recalled feeling hurt after reading a galley of TDWP<\/em>: \u201cShe was just making fun of us.\u201d As for Billy, his pet peeve was that \u201cevery time I\u2019d get on an airplane, that\u2019s what was playing. So I couldn\u2019t escape it.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the episode, Chloe, Chioma, and Nicole discuss the age-old question that surfaced in light of this week\u2019s Chanel show<\/a>: what is<\/em> cruise or resort season<\/a> in the fashion world? Nicole\u2019s simplest explanation: \u201cCruise is this in-between season, between fall and spring.\u201d The show itself also had the whole office, and broader fashion community, talking, particularly about the pair of not-shoe shoes<\/a> that several models sported on the runway. This near-naked foot look is certainly not practical, but perhaps it\u2019ll be making its way onto red carpets in the future.<\/p>\n Chioma also brought up the big news that, after a relatively brief courtship, Zo\u00eb Kravitz and Harry Styles<\/a> are engaged. (And the rock is nothing to scoff at!) In other news, ahead of the first Monday in May, the Vogue Caf\u00e9<\/a> is popping up in NYC on Saturday and Sunday at Altro Paradiso.
