The 2026 Met Gala<\/a> is officially here, and we are waiting with bated breath as the world\u2019s biggest stars\u2014including co-chairs Beyonc\u00e9, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams\u2014gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s exhibit, \u201cCostume Art<\/a>,\u201d places fashion on the same pedestal as fine art. From May 10, 2026 until January 10, 2027, the museum\u2019s brand-new, almost 12,000-square-foot Cond\u00e9 M. Nast Galleries<\/a> will be filled with hundreds of pieces of art that center the dressed body, paired with thematically relevant fashions. In concert with the theme, the evening\u2019s dress code, \u201cFashion is Art<\/a>,\u201d asks attendees to serve as something of a blank canvas themselves.<\/p>\n While the dress code<\/a> itself leaves plenty of room to the imagination, the exhibit\u2019s sub-sections are sure to offer some guidance. Many may embrace the classical body in Hellenistic drapery, while others may opt to explore the anatomical body.
