The 2026 Met Gala<\/a> may have come and gone, but talks of Nicole Kidman\u2019s aura on the red carpet is forever. Kidman, a co-chair for the gala, wore a custom red sequin-and-feather gown<\/a>\u2014the first piece of custom Matthieu Blazy to ever grace the Met steps.<\/p>\n \u201cEverything about this year\u2019s Met Gala stars with the theme Anna and the museum selected,\u201d Kidman told Vogue<\/em> the day after the f\u00eate. \u201cOnce I had my first fitting with the incredible dress Matthieu and Chanel created for me, I knew that the skin and the beauty just had to center on the idea of radiance.\u201d<\/p>\n Radiance is something that comes easily to the actor, partially because of her relationship with skincare brand Cle de Peau (she\u2019s been a spokesperson since last summer<\/a>). For the rest, her longstanding glam team was there to help.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s how she prepped for the big event. \u201cPart of my ritual before the Met Gala is a yoga session in the morning, and then a great facial with Fabricio Ormonde,\u201d she shared. \u201cWe finish the facial off with La Cr\u00e8me<\/a> and the Advanced Protective Day Cream SPF 25<\/a>\u00a0for added hydration and daily defense. Sunscreen is such an important part of my everyday routine and I don\u2019t skip it even when walking a red carpet.\u201d<\/p>\n From there, her team (Jason Bolden<\/a> for styling, Adir Abergel<\/a> on hair, and Gucci Westman<\/a> for makeup) assembled to get her ready for the carpet. \u201cWe all really appreciate and love the art of creating these looks, which felt very fitting for this year\u2019s Met Gala theme,\u201d the actor said of her collaborators.<\/p>\n \u201cGucci and I really focused on the idea of glowy beautiful skin, refined and luminous,\u201d Kidman says, adding that the key product for this best-skin-ever look is The Foundation<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re not even aware you\u2019re wearing it,\u201d she says of the product. \u201cSuddenly, your skin is beautiful: smooth, soft, and still really, really hydrated. I love it.\u201d When it came to her hair, Abergel added long extensions and kept it straight and sleek.<\/p>\n From there, Kidman grabbed her date for the evening\u2014daughter Sunday Rose\u2014and headed to the carpet for a night of art, fashion, and surprise performances. The two women shared a glow, which Kidman distilled down to a few things. Lucky for us, it isn\u2019t just those incredible genes. First of all, diligent sunscreen use.
