As such, the London-based label teamed up with Selene, a soon-to-open eatery in SoHo, to host a colossal Friday night feast.<\/p>\n<p>To designer Dimitra Petsa, it was a no-brainer. \u201cI liked the idea that this was my first Met Gala and this is their first dinner, so it\u2019s all of the firsts,\u201d Petsa told <em>Vogue<\/em> during cocktail hour. \u201cAlso it\u2019s Mediterranean food on the menu\u2014so it\u2019s honoring my lineage and my Greek culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the cuisine conveyed brand synergy, the restaurant\u2019s geometric interior design provided a perfect backdrop for those wearing Di Petsa\u2019s signature, hand-draped \u2018wet look\u2019 pieces, also seen on model <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/ashley-graham-was-hand-sewn-into-her-2026-met-gala-look\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"text link\">Ashley Graham<\/a> and actress Laura Harrier days previous.<\/p>\n<p><native-ad position=\"in-content\" shoulddisplaylabel=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Beyond the red carpet, Petsa\u2019s work is also heavily featured within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/metropolitan-museum-of-art-costume-art-exhibition\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"text link\">new Costume Art exhibit<\/a>. \u201cThe Met Gala is always something that you dream of if you work in fashion and if you\u2019re studying design. It\u2019s like the Olympics of fashion,\u201d Petsa added. \u201cI studied fine art first, and then I did fashion. So the <em>Fashion is Art<\/em> theme was perfect for me. It was serendipity, in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Initial cocktail chatter began to settle into deeper discourse, as guests took their seats at the banquet. Immediately, dishes descended. Think: homemade bread and pita served with classic hummus, taramasalata, and a whipped red pepper dip, hamachi and tavraki crudos, tuna tartare, caviar-topped tiropita, grilled octopus, and Greek salad\u2014and those were just the appetizers.<\/p>\n<p><native-ad position=\"sponsor-product\" shoulddisplaylabel=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>It was a harvest with bountiful conversation. \u201cI think when you do a fashion event, it&#8217;s really nice to do a dinner.
