Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appeared yesterday in Brooklyn, New York for a friend\u2019s wedding wearing respective head-to-toe gold and all-black\u2014blink and you might have missed her Elizabeth Taylor tribute, and a dazzling jewelry debut. Cry her eyes violet, she may have done at her friend\u2019s wedding\u2014dripping in the Hollywood screen icon\u2019s jewels.<\/p>\n
The couple were photographed heading to Honey\u2019s in Bushwick, Brooklyn last night. Swift wore a gold Maria Lucia Hohan Allar silk dress in shimmering gold fabric, with a cut-out waist, paired with a matching gold Aquazzura Ari clutch and Aquazzura Tequila sandals. (A regular shoe in her current rotation.) It\u2019s the first time she\u2019s worn the entire set in public, which was auctioned publicly in 2011 and has not been seen in its full glory since. Swift modeled the matching chandelier-style earrings, ring, and bracelet\u2014unmistakable, thanks to their pastel opal sheen and sculptural shapes.<\/p>\n It\u2019s believed that Elizabeth Taylor, the classic Hollywood cinema star and muse to Swift\u2019s The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, purchased the jewelry set in 1999. It stayed in her expansive collection until its sale at New York auction house Christie\u2019s in 2011. The lot fetched around $6,000, and was part of a staggering, record-breaking $156.7 million day, exceeding all of its original estimates.
