Congratulations are in order for Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan<\/a>, who are expecting their first child together. The Call Her Daddy<\/em><\/a> podcaster and Unwell Network media mogul announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post on Sunday, May 17.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur family \ud83e\udd0d,\u201d Cooper captioned the IG photo carousel<\/a>, which featured two images of herself in a white crop top and loose pants that exposed her growing bump, smiling beside her husband and business partner, the film executive and producer Kaplan.<\/p>\n

The couple first met on a Zoom call over the pandemic in July 2020, getting engaged three years later, and married in a Riviera Maya, Mexico-set ceremony<\/a> in April 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was everything we wanted it to be,\u201d she told<\/a> Vogue<\/em> at the time of her nuptials. \u201cIt was emotional, heartfelt, and we tailored it to exactly how we always envisioned it.\u201d Cooper wore a custom Danielle Frankel gown on the day.<\/p>\n

They founded the Unwell Network\u2014a multi-platform media and Gen Z production company\u2014in 2023, with Call Her Daddy<\/em> as its flagship podcast among others.<\/p>\n

On an August 2024 episode of Call Her Daddy<\/em>, Cooper voiced her fears around her fertility and relationship, having been diagnosed with HPV several years prior. \u201cAt this point, Matt and I were starting to get serious and we were dating, and for the first time. It just sucked, because I could really envision a future with a man,\u201d said. \u201cI think I was scared to vocalize one of my biggest fears, which was the possibility that this mistake I made years ago was going to impact my fertility. Matt was the first person I had dated that had me realize I even wanted to have kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI knew I was going to have to be honest about it\u2026I told him everything. And he couldn\u2019t have been more loving and understanding and supportive.\u201d Cooper underwent treatment for her HPV and successfully tested negative six months later.<\/p>\n
