Her acting schedule may be booked and busy this year, but this week, Lambe took a breather from it all to partake in a different experience: Attending her first fashion show. Last night in New York, Lambe sat front row at the Louis Vuitton resort 2027 show, which designer Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re unveiled at The Frick museum, uptown. (Vuitton as your first fashion show? Not bad.) \u201cI was so surprised when the invitation came through that I had to ask my team if they were sure it was real,\u201d says Lambe. \u201cI\u2019m so happy to have been able to attend, and feel very lucky to be invited into the fashion space.\u201d<\/p>\n
The presentation, unsurprisingly, lived up to the hype: Lambe\u2019s favorite part of the show was seeing Ghesquiere\u2019s distinctive take on fashion through the decades. \u201cI really enjoyed the journey through regions and decades throughout the show, almost like mini-collections within a collection,\u201d says Lambe, who also loved the show soundtrack. \u201cThe lean into alternative, starting off with Peaches\u2019s legendary \u2018The Boys Wanna Be Her\u2019 was such a fun way to start the show. Also, I absolutely loved the nod to Alyssa Liu\u2019s halo hair<\/a> on some of the models.\u201d Her favorite looks from the collection, meanwhile, were the ensembles that leaned toward sporty-chic. \u201cThey felt so reflective of New York through a sports lens, specifically boxing,\u201d says Lambe. \u201cThey reminded me a lot of the film Raging Bull<\/em>, because of the time period they felt set in.\u201d<\/p>\n Lambe in her Louis Vuitton look.<\/p>\n <\/span>Photo: Orion Bustamante<\/span><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Her own VIP outfit, however, was less athletic-inspired\u2014and much more sleek and powerful. Lambe slipped into Vuitton\u2019s leather dress and tailored black cape, paired with a monogrammed bag and ankle boots. \u201cGoing into the fitting for the show look, the only thing I knew I wanted was something strong,\u201d says Lambe. \u201cA look that was unexpected for me, something different.
