Angel Reese knows a thing or two about manifestation. On Tuesday, the 23-year-old WNBA star teased her new campaign with Victoria’s Secret in New York City sporting a fresh new ’do: a curly pixie.

Hairstylist Dionte Gray (also known as Arrogant Tae) created a 1920s-inspired layered look for the occasion, with Reese writing on Instagram, “Betty Boo.” Stylists Matthew and Reginald Reisman (also known as The Reismans) kept the vintage theme going with a houndstooth blazer by LaQuan Smith, while makeup artist Latisha Chancey opted for bold brows and a prominent light-pink blush placement. Reese and Chancey’s pairing feels like an especially appropriate full-circle moment, as they previously worked together for her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in 2025.

In a behind-the-scenes video posted on the brand’s Instagram, Reese shared, “I really manifested this.” The former Vogue cover star has long been a fan of fashion and beauty. “I was always in my mom’s closet, putting on her stuff,” she told Vogue at the time. “I liked to carry a purse. Hair done. I wanted to look put together. I still do.”

Now, as she prepares to take her talents to the Atlanta Dream—news of Reese’s trade from the Chicago Sky broke on Monday, April 6—Reese’s new look offers the perfect bit of inspiration for entering a new era in her style.
