Bieberchella is firmly behind us, and Hailey Bieber has swapped her festival wardrobe for something a little more glamorous.
Last night, the Rhode founder was among many a celebrity at the star-studded Time 100 Gala in New York City, joined on the red carpet by the likes of Dakota Johnson, Keke Palmer, and Jennie.
For the occasion, Bieber opted for a silvery sheer vintage Calvin Klein gown: the dress featured a balconette cup bodice and body-hugging shape, with a lacy floral overlay. Both lingerie-like and a more demure nod to the ever-enduring naked dress trends, Bieber’s look also referenced the penchants of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Love Story hasn’t lessened its grip on pop culture, and neither has the late CBK’s timeless codes of style. (Sarah Pidgeon even fronted a recent Rhode campaign.)

Bessette-Kennedy was a Calvin Klein disciple, who worked as a high-powered publicist and also wore his designs frequently. On the red carpet, she favored simple and sleek outfits by Calvin as well as Yohji Yamamoto, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Alexander McQueen. Today, Hailey Bieber follows a similarly neat and classic sartorial rhythm, never straying far from Saint Laurent or Tom Ford-era Gucci for the step and repeat.
Bieber added some more ornate jewels to her look, wearing sparkling Briony Raymond diamond earrings and a slim Cartier watch. On her feet, a pair of dove gray satin mules. In terms of glam, Bieber also kept things signature: her recent transformed long hair was styled long and tousled down her back, and cheeks were flushed (likely with Rhode’s Toasted Teddy.) Nails were switched up, swapping her colorful Coachella set (which were a sweet tribute to husband Justin) to a more pared back and minimalist pinky nude.
