Myha’la’s Frosted Monochrome Makeup Feels Fresh for Summer

When it comes to beauty references, Myha’la is a fan of Y2K glamour—just take her signature skinny brows, seen both IRL and on her Industry character Harper Stern. Last night at the third annual Gotham Television Awards, the actor went all in on the aughts from head to Ballet Slipper-pedicured toe.

There to present the prize for outstanding supporting performance in a drama series with Grace Gummer, the Industry star wore a silver strapless floral dress with a keyhole detail and feathered trim from Gucci’s spring-summer 2004 collection, styled by Britt Mccamey. Naturally, only a complementary early aughts makeup look would do.

Makeup artist Shyanna Lundi picked a frosty lavender eyeshadow for Myha’la’s lids, over which the star’s throwback beauty signature—ultra-plucked, skinny eyebrows—felt right at home. She finished the look with a glossy lip (not like the one the models wore down the Gucci runway in 2004, in fact), while hairstylist Dre Demry-Sanders let Myha’la’s braids hang loose down her back.

The actor’s shimmery look wasn’t the only highlight of the night. Myha’la shared an adorable red carpet meet-up with Kerry Washington (who received the evening’s Spotlight Tribute) and posed for photos with Love Story actor Sarah Pidgeon, both of which she shared on Instagram. How’s that for a good Monday night?
