Jennifer Lawrence’s bag collection could inspire jealousy from just about anybody: those who worship at the altar of the Olsens surely want to dip into her Margaux haul from The Row, or perhaps “borrow” her Hermès Bolide, while the maximalists among us are no doubt eyeing her more expressive pick-ups like her Fendi zebra backpack and her Dior Dracula book tote.
But today, Lawrence broke the statement bag scale, introducing her boldest purse to date.
The actor bundled up in earth-colored layers for a springtime walk in New York City, pairing a sumptuous, chocolatey brown coat with mushroom-brown trousers and off-white Salomon Mary-Janes. And while Lawrence could have easily finished the look with one of her many, many quiet luxury It-bags (her black Kelly, her Loewe Puzzle, her Phoebe Philo Gig bag…need we go on?), she chose to defy our expectations. Instead, she grabbed a boxy Prada Galleria with a leopard-print body complete with a turquoise ostrich leather top handle, and red ostrich leather accents.
The actor has been dominating the accessories game lately. Whether she’s rocking a cheeky baseball cap, fashion’s favorite flip-flops, or—in this case—an eye-catching bag, Jennifer Lawrence knows that the right accessory will carry any outfit.
